Covid-19: No new cases in the North

FOR the first time since the lockdown began, no new positive Covid-19 cases have been reported in the North by the Department of Health (DoH) in its latest daily update, but there has been a further death from the virus.

The DoH has now recorded a total of 545 fatalities across the North so far during the pandemic.

Between June 18 and 19, a total of 995 individuals were tested for coronavirus, with none confirmed as positive.

There are currently a total of 28 Covid-19 inpatients in hospitals across Northern Ireland, with three of these being treated in Intensive Care Units (ICUs).

The local statistics also reveal that there are active coronavirus outbreaks in 47 care homes around the North.
