Covid-19: One further death reported in the North

ONE further death related to Covid-19 in the North has been reported by the Department of Health (DoH) in its latest daily update.

Two more people have tested positive for the virus, according to the DoH statistics.

In the 24 hours prior to 10am this morning, one death related to Covid-19 occurred and was reported to the department.

It has now recorded a total of 542 fatalities across the North so far during the pandemic.

Between June 14 and 15, a total of 650 individuals were tested for coronavirus, with two confirmed as positive.

There are currently a total of 41 Covid-19 inpatients in hospitals across Northern Ireland, with four of these being treated in Intensive Care Units (ICUs).

The local statistics also reveal that there are active coronavirus outbreaks in 51 care homes around the North.
