Covid-19: One person tests positive in the North

NO further deaths related to Covid-19 have been reported in the North by the Department of Health (DoH) in its latest daily update, while one more person has tested positive for the virus.

The DoH has recorded a total of 543 fatalities across the North so far during the pandemic.

Between June 16 and 17, a total of 1,027 individuals were tested for coronavirus, with just one confirmed as positive.

There are currently a total of 33 Covid-19 inpatients in hospitals across Northern Ireland, with three of these being treated in Intensive Care Units (ICUs).

The local statistics also reveal that there are active coronavirus outbreaks in 50 care homes around the North.
