Eglish to resume action after positive test

EGLISH players have been allowed to return to action after one of their senior team mates receieved a positive test for Covid-19 on Monday.

 Eglish and Aghaloo suspended activity after the player had featured in a game between the clubs on Sunday.

A club statement released by Eglish chairman Brian Murtagh said, “Following a positive test for Covid-19 by a member of our senior football team on Tuesday July 21, all members of our senior and reserves teams, managements, club officials and those involved in the game versus Aghaloo on Sunday July 19 have been test for Covid-19.

“All tests have come back negative.

“This is a matter of huge relief for the club and local community.

“The Tyrone County Board has been informed of this and has given permission for the club to resume activities.

“The club will again be adhering strictly to GAA and Public Health guidelines as we return again to sport.

“This has been a stressful time for all concerned, particularly the player who tested positive and his family.”
