AN Omagh family have been left ‘in distress’ after items of sentimental value, including two wedding rings and a beloved engagement ring, were stolen from their home on Wednesday.
Appealing for information, Constable Harkness said, “The occupants returned home to find that entry had been forced to the house, with many of the rooms rummaged through. This would have happened on Wednesday afternoon, between 1pm and 4.30pm.
“A sum of money and some pieces of jewellery of immense sentimental value were taken, including two wedding rings and an engagement ring.
“The intrusion has, understandably, left the owners distressed.
“I am appealing to anyone with information, or who noticed any suspicious activity, to contact us on 101 quoting reference number 1197 of 27/01/21.”
