THE PSNI in Omagh are investigating what’s described as a ‘creeper-stye’ burglary at Castle Place in the town.
It happened in the early hours of Sunday, January, 31, when shortly after 3.20am it was reported to police that entry was gained to a block of flats in the area.
It was reported that two separate flats were entered and ransacked during the incident, with a mobile phone stolen from one of the properties and keys to a black Audi A4 were taken from the other property.
The vehicle, which was parked in the Castle Place area was then subsequently stolen during the incident. The vehicle, believed to have been taken from the area at around 2:10am, was observed travelling along the Doogary Road in Omagh shortly after 2:30am on Sunday 31st January. The vehicle is still outstanding at this time.
Enquiries are continuing and the PSNI is appealing to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area at this time to contact police in Omagh on 101, quoting reference number 251 31/01/21.
