Homeowners left ‘shaken’ after attempted burglary

POLICE are appealing for information after an attempted burglary in Greencastle on Sunday afternoon.

Inspector Jonathan Gordon said, “At around 4.30pm, we received a report that the owners of the property in the Maryville, Sheskinshule area had heard a noise and when going to check, discovered that the locks on the kitchen windows had been damaged.

“Nothing was taken, but the homeowners were left shaken by the incident.

“We are appealing to anyone who noticed any suspicious activity or vehicles in the area between 4pm and 5pm or who has information that could assist with their enquiries to contact Police at Omagh non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1247 04/04/21.”
