Castlederg High School donate visors to CAMHS staff

CASTLEDERG High School kindly donated essential visors to protect mental health staff during the Coronavirus pandemic.

The school supplied Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) based at the Tyrone and Fermanagh Hospital site in Omagh with  visors.

The work was carried out by Sara Khan, Samantha and Derrick Spratt and is greatly appreciated by the CAMHS team.

Dr Iris Whylie, Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist would like to pass on her appreciation on behalf of the CAMHS Team she said:

“We in the Omagh CAMHS are eternally grateful to Castlederg High School for supplying us with a number of face protecting visors earlier this week.

“We are also grateful to our Secretary Ruth Grery and her sister Jean for arranging delivery.

“These PPE items will greatly assist our staff in the safe delivery of our service during these challenging times and we very much appreciate this kind and timely donation.”

Iris continued, “As a school in our service catchment area, I have very close links with Castlederg High School over the past 10 years and this generous donation demonstrates the strong pastoral care and community spirit ethos of the school community.

“We look forward to passing on our thanks in person when normal business is resumed but in the meantime we hope a huge thank you from our team will express our appreciation of their invaluable efforts,” concluded Iris.
