Police have confirmed the sudden death of a woman on Main Street, Killeter, shortly before 2.15am this morning.
The circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated; however, officers believe the circumstances are not suspicious.
The main road running through the village had been closed but is now open.
A PSNI spokesperson said, “Police received a report of the sudden death of a woman in the Main Street area of Killeter shortly before 2.15am on Sunday morning, March 17.”Enquiries are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death; however, at this time, it is not believed to be suspicious.”
Aghyaran GAC has stated that ‘due to the tragic events of last night’, its big breakfast will not take place this morning, and the GAA centre will remain closed today.
