A MAN is due in court today in connection with a weekend assault in Strabane.
A 33-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and is due to appear before Enniskillen Magistrates’ Court.
The charge relates to an assault on Saturday in the Main Street area of Strabane.
Police said a man in his 30s was assaulted by another man inside flats in the area.
The victim sustained serious injuries to his face, head and body as a result of the assault and was taken by Air Ambulance to hospital.
On Saturday, police said the victim was in a critical condition.
