Nearly 100 more COVID-19 cases in Tyrone council areas

THE latest figures from the Department for Health have shown that there are nearly 100 more cases of coronavirus in the three Council areas covering Tyrone.

It is reported that 22 new positive cases are reported in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area, 32 in Mid-Ulster and 40 in Derry City and Strabane.

One further death has been reported in the three council areas of someone with the coronavirus. This was in Mid-Ulster.

In Fermanagh and Omagh, the number of fatalities due to coronavirus remains at 26, with 68 in Mid-Ulster and 75 in Derry City and Strabane.

The latest figures have been released as the Finance Minister, Conor Murphy, announced a £300 million support package for businesses which have been hardest hit by COVID-19.
