Omagh shooting: 71-year-old man released after questioning

A 71-year-old man, arrested in connection with the investigation into the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s Major Investigation Team, on Wednesday, February 22 at the Killyclogher Road area of Omagh, has been released following questioning.

A 47-year-old man arrested in connection with the investigation remains in police custody at this time.
Two men, one aged 33, and one aged 57, who were arrested earlier today, Wednesday,  March 1, under the Terrorism Act, and taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning, also remain in police custody at this time.
