THE PSNI arrested a man and seized a large sum of cash in Sion Mills yesterday evening (Monday) after stopping a vehicle on the Melmount Road.
Police seized cash and made the arrest while on patrol in Sion Mills on Monday evening, April 28.
Officers made the seizure and arrest after stopping a vehicle on Melmount Road.
Following a search, a large sum of cash was located inside the vehicle, as well as a quantity of suspected Class B drugs and an item of drug-related paraphernalia.
The 37-year-old driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of offences including possessing criminal property and possession of a Class B controlled drug. He was also arrested on suspicion of driving when unfit through drink or drugs.
The man remains in custody at this time.
