THE rate of infection for the coronavirus is lowest west of the Bann, with Fermanagh and Omagh, Derry City and Strabane and Mid-Ulster all recording rates below those of the other eight local government areas.
The rate of positive tests for the coronavirus, COVID-19, is lowest in the Fermanagh and Omagh District, according to the latest figures published by the Department for Health, while the rate of 133 per 100,000 in Mid-Ulster.
They show that the rate of infection for Fermanagh and Omagh local government district is 67 people per 100,000 population, making it the lowest anywhere in the north.
Derry City and Strabane is next and has a rate of 108 per 100,000 population while the rate in Mid-Ulster, the other council area covering Tyrone, is the third lowest at a rate of 133 per 100,000 in Mid-Ulster
A total of three people have been recorded as having died from coronavirus in the past 24 hours, bringing the overall total in the north to 454.
There have been 4291 positive cases across the 11 districts.
