Taoiseach agrees meeting with Glenanne gang survivors

TAOISEACH Michael Martin has agreed to meet with victims and survivors of the Glenanne Gang.

It follows the discovery on Easter Monday of a gun and 200 rounds of ammunition in a house outside Moy.

Aontu TD, Peadar Toibin, raised the case in the Dail on Wednesday afternoon, saying that the gun and ammunition is thought to have been linked to the Glenanne Gang in the murder of nationalists in the area.

“It was found close to the home of Aontu Mid-Ulster councillor, Denise Mullen, whose father was murdered by the Glenanne gang in front of her when she was just four years old,” Mr Toibin said.

“The gun was handed into the PSNI in Armagh. A few days later the community checked to see if an investigation of the history of the gun was being pursued by the PSNI.

“I welcome that Michael Martin has said that he will meet with survivors and I have asked that thi would be done immediately using Zoom or Teams to make it happen.”
