TWO people aged in their forties from Dungannon are among those who have been charged by the PSNI on suspicion of a wide range of offences under the Terrorism Act as part of Operation Arbacia, an ongoing investigation into the activities of the New IRA.
A 45 year old woman and a 43 year-old man from the town are among those who have been charged. A total of five persons are due to appear at Laganside Court on Monday August 24.
The 45 year-old woman has been charged with offences including membership of a proscribed organisation, directing terrorism and wo separate charges of preparatory acts of terrorism.
The 43 year old man has been charged with membership of a proscribed organistion, directing terrorism and two separate charges of preparatory acts of terrorism, conspiracy to possess explosives with intent to endanger life and conspiracy to possess ammunition with intent to endanger life.
