A section of the M1 motorway has been closed in both directions after a lorry carrying livestock overturned.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) said they are currently dealing with 40 cattle, with two animal rescue teams in attendance.
“Firefighters are currently at the scene of a road traffic collision involving an overturned lorry and a number of cattle on the M1 between Junction 13 and Junction 14,” said a NIFRS spokesperson.
“Firefighters from Dungannon, Portadown and Armagh are at the scene alongside Specialist Animal Rescue Teams from Omagh and Newcastle as well as Specialist Rescue Teams from Central. The incident is on-going.”
The operation is expected to continue for several hours and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
