Ulster American Folk Park to reopen next Tuesday

THE Ulster American Folk Park is set to reopen to visitors on Tuesday (May 25), in line with government advice and public health guidelines.

As it reopens, the open-air museum outside Omagh has carried out further Covid-19 risk assessments and has a number of safety measures in place.

A one-way flow system will help to guide visitors around safely, whilst the number of visitors on site at any time will be managed, allowing visitors the space that they need to savour the experience as safely as possible.

All National Museums NI’s sites have been awarded the ‘We’re Good to Go’ industry standard mark, certifying that it adheres to the respective Government and public health guidance.

John-Paul Coyle, visitor services manager at Ulster American Folk Park, said, “Our team at Ulster American Folk Park are really excited about opening the doors to visitors again.

“We will be taking every precaution to offer visitors a safe and enjoyable experience with us.”

The Ulster American Folk Park allows visitors to embark on a journey back in time from the Old World of Ulster to a New World on the American frontier.

In this vibrant and interactive space, visitors can explore three centuries of Irish emigration with costumed guides demonstrating traditional crafts and skills.

Visitors to Ulster American Folk Park are asked to pre-book time slots online to visit. Ulster Museum and Ulster Transport Museum will also open their doors on May 25, while Ulster Folk Museum will open its doors at the slightly later date of June 12.
