It has been glorious weekend for underage camogie and Ladies football in Tyrone with Naomh Treasa, Dungannon winning the All Ireland title this afternoon. Their historic victory follows Carrickmore Ladies footballers who won the Ulster championship yesterday (Saturday).
Naomh Treasa defeated Knockananna of Wicklow by a solidarity point, 1-4 to 0-7 in a nail-biting finish. At the final whistle there scenes of rejoicing among the Dungannon players, management and supporters who made the long journey to Kinnegad in Co Westmeath.
The team is expected to receive a huge welcome home when they return with the cup.
There were celebrations as well for Carrickmore Ladies yesterday (Saturday) when they were crowned Ulster minor champions. They beat Emmet Ógs of Monaghan 2-6 to 0-5 in Trillick.
Congratulations have poured in for both teams for their great achievements in finishing the year with All Ireland and provincial glory.
