STATISTICIANS at Omagh Accies Rugby Club will have to trawl through their record books to see if a fourth XV player has set a new club best.
Flying winger Bailey Irvine crossed the line an incredible six times in the fourths’ 57-16 victory over Monaghan 2nd XV in a Ulster Rugby South Regional League game under lights on Friday evening.
Irvine scored three tries in the first half as Omagh led 24-13 at the interval and repeated the trick in the second period as the experienced Accies outfit ran riot.
Thus far Irvine has proved himself a natural born finisher this season and at this rate won’t be playing fourth XV rugby very long!
