THE successful Slaughtneill manager, Michael McShane, has tonight been appointed as the new manager of the Tyrone senior hurlers.
He will replace Mattie Lennon, who has not been re-appointed, following the 2020 season, which saw the Red Hands just miss out on promotion in the National League and reached the semi-final of the Nickey Rackard Cup.
McShane has managed Slaughtneill to Derry and Ulster club success and will be seen as a notable appointment for the county, especially after recent controversy surrounding the position.
He has spent six years as manager of the Emmetts during which the club achieved unprecendented hurling success and in 2018 was linked with the vacant post of Antrim manager.
