THE 2025 Reihill Cup Final will be an all-Tyrone affair between previous winners, Mountfield Reserves and Killen Rangers Reserves.
In this week’s semi-final showdowns Mountfield Reserves, winners in 2022, defeated Omagh Hospitals Reserves 4-2 while a Conrad Kee penalty secured a 1-0 victory for three time winners Killen Rangers Reserves against neighbours Ardstraw Reserves.
Wednesday evening’s first semi-final proved a thrilling encounter with two Bradley Fox goals giving the Hossies a 2-1 lead after Ronan Fox had opened the scoring for Mountfiueld.
A Cathair Gallagher penalty drew the sides level just before the hour mark and Mountfield duly kicked on with Danny Gorman and Shane McCullagh both netting to complete an impressive comeback victory.
By comparison Thursday’s meeting of Killen and Ardstraw second strings proved a dull, drab affair that was decided by Kee’s controversial penalty kick in the first minute of stoppage-time.
Ardstraw were up in arms when match official Eoghan Curran pointed to the penalty spot for an alleged foul by Ardstraw substitute Matthew Nicholl on Kee.
When the protestations had subsided Kee duly converted to send Killen into the decider which will be played at Ferney Park on Friday, May 2.
