SION Swifts Ladies couldn’t have asked for a more difficult start to the 2021 season having been handed fixtures against Belfast’s Big Two in the opening two weeks.
Tony McGinley’s team will kick off the new season at Linfield on April 28 before hosting last year’s champions Glentoran on May 5.
The following week the Melvin Park-based outfit will travel to North West neighbours Derry City before closing out the first round of games with back-to-back home games against Crusaders and Cliftoinville.
Unlike last year’s Covid affected season there is a full set of 20 games down for decision with the six competing teams playing each other four times.
The season will run from April 28 right through to October 6 when Sion will wrap up their campiagn away to the Reds.
