GROVEHILL Animal Trust’s brand new calendar for 2022 is a shining light of hope for any animal that was once homeless – and perhaps a timely reminder for all of us that magic can happen with just a little love!
This is because on every page of the glossy calendar is a smiling former resident of the Sixmilecross-based shelter, whose life was saved by a loving local person.
And certainly, by opening their arms, homes and hearts to the homeless animals, the pet’s new parents also gain a best friend ‘fur’ life – and this is something that Grovehill volunteer, Janice Porter, said radiates across the charity’s eleventh calendar to-date.
“It is always beautiful when a homeless animal becomes a pet, and then a best friend,” she said. “We are everything to our furry friends. We have so many people in our lives, while all they have is us. And they love us unconditionally; completely without judgement.
“Every animal featured in the calendar is now in their forever home, which makes it a celebration of lives saved,” Janice added. “And every penny from the purchase goes directly to caring for the many cats and dogs that still reside at the shelter, waiting for their special someone to come along and bring them home.
“We’re very grateful to those who sponsored the publication and printing of the 2022 calendar, and thank you to everyone who has supported Grovehill in any way during 2021,” she continued.
“Together, we are giving homeless animals a future.”
