MEMBERS of an Omagh dance group have hip-hopped, skipped and free-styled to victory in prestigious competition, Spectrum Dance, which took place last week in Dublin.
Not only did Dance Revelation’s group, ‘Relentless’ achieve a fantastic first place in the ‘Under-14 Starter Category, individual members of the Omagh dance group also proved that they have got the rhythm and winning moves by waltzing their way to personal accolades, too.
Notable results saw Caitlin McCarron place first in the Under-12 Champ category, and won the ‘Overall’ and ‘Judge’s Choice’ award, while Aine Campbell placed first in the Under-12 Starter Category, and won the ‘Overall’ award in the category, and dancing dream team Lucy and Tilly Irvine also stormed to the semi-finals of the ‘First Timer’ category. ‘Spectrum Dance’ is a unique event, held in Kingswood, Dublin, which gives the opportunity to express their natural talents on the international stage.
Speaking to the We Are Tyrone, ‘Dance Revelation’ members achieve sizzling success in Dublin competition, Dance Revelation’s dance teacher, Joanne McCausland of Omagh said she was so proud of her dancing kings and queens.
‘We headed home feeling on top of the world!” she said. “The Relentless crew only gone and took first place in the competition, while Tilly and Lucy both made the semi-finals of the Under-12 category on their first attempt.”
Joanne added, “I’d like to say thank you to Spectrum Dance Events for hosting a fantastic competition.”
