Let’s raise a paw, and give a gift to the shelter animals of Grovehill Animal Trust this year to ensure that they have a Christmas they will never forget.
While our animals will be tucking into their treats and barking around the tree on Christmas morning, Grovehill’s friendly, fluffy and fabulous residents are faced with yet another day of patiently waiting for someone to give them a loving fur-ever home.
That is exactly why Corry & O’Hare Vets, Omagh have launched a very special ‘Christmas Appeal’ in aid of the Omagh animal charity – and they are hoping that it will be well-supported by the animal-loving Tyrone folk. The initiative encourages people to donate a little Christmas gift to Grovehill’s animals to bring them festive joy.
Items can be anything, from dry and wet cat or kitten food, and wet dog or puppy food; to slip leads; dog coats and bedding; and they will be presented to Grovehill’s furry residents over the festive period.
Further gift ideas can include treats; play toys; hot water bottles; or heated cat pads to keep our feline friends toasty and warm during the cold wintry weather.
Jayne McKillion, chairperson of Grovehill, said that it is important that all animals – just like humans – enjoy a little fuss and some festivities at Christmas.
‘’While the past months have been busy at the shelter, we never fail to be encouraged by the kindness of the general public,” she said. “We would appreciate donations of cat and kitten food and dog and pup food, both wet and dry.
“Leads , blankets and soft beds would also be most welcome.”
And all donations will be gratefully-received.
To donate to Corry & O’Hare’s Christmas Appeal, in aid of the lovely animals of Grovehill, simply leave your special gifts in to the practice, located at 51 Gortin Road, Omagh (past the Silverbirch Hotel).
