Show the love for your favourite local business

STRABANE residents are being encouraged to show their love and support for local businesses by nominating them for the UK’s Favourite Local Business 2024 competition.

Backed by the Strabane Gift Card, the competition aims to highlight the importance of shopping local, with £1,500 in Strabane Gift Cards available as prizes.

All types of businesses, from shops and restaurants to salons, hotels, and attractions in Strabane, are eligible to win. Nominations can be made for free at lovelocalwin.co.uk, where residents can name their favourite local business and explain why they deserve to win.

The business with the most nominations will win a £500 Town & City Gift Card, while one lucky person who nominated the winning business will receive a £1,000 gift card.

Emma McGill, Strabane town centre development manager, emphasised the importance of the initiative, saying, “Being nominated would be a huge boost for a local business. With so many fantastic businesses in Strabane, we’re spoilt for choice.”

The competition, sponsored by fintech company Miconex, runs until October 31, 2024. It’s part of a nationwide effort to promote local shopping as the holiday season approaches.
