A GLENHULL family has raised more than £3,500 for Air Ambulance NI by holding an afternoon tea in memory of a beloved son, husband, brother and uncle who died two years ago.
David Ballantine, who was 35, sadly died on August 2, 2020, as a result of a head injury sustained during a quad bike accident.
After his death, the Ballantine family decided to do what they could to support the North’s Air Ambulance. The recent afternoon tea raised a total of £3,655.29.
David’s sister, Claire Campbell, said the event had been a “fantastic afternoon”.
Claire said, “We would like to thank all that attended on the day, gave donations and provided delicious cakes, breads and tray bakes.”
She also paid tribute to everyone who helped her family out on the day. Claire added, “All this wouldn’t have been possible without all your support and generosity. On behalf of the Ballantine family, thank you.”
