OLD time gospel hymns with contemporary twists filled the walls of Omagh Baptist Church on as an joyful gospel concert of praise and prayer rang in the spring season.
The recent uplifting evening, organised by Doyle Mills, featured a short set from guitar instrumentalist, Nathan McCormick as well as the wonderful voices of the Omagh Baptist Church (OBC) choir, directed by the church’s talented musician, Andrea Sawyers, who has a wealth of experience at working with choirs.
The OBC praise group further led some contemporary praise and worship music while band ‘Traditional Roots’ gave beloved old time gospel hymns a bit of a Celtic flavour with acoustic guitars, fiddle and bodhran.
Meanwhile local gospel music songstress, Grace McClintock and harmony duo, Hannah and Sharon ensured that the entertainment soared, and closing the evening, was Scottish singer/songwriter, James Goldie, who now lives in Castlederg.
Refreshments were served during the course of the evening for the comfort of participants.
The Omagh Baptist Church, located on the Deverney Road, is a Bible believing church who seek to glorify God through the preaching of the Word, but also through praise and worship music.
