Red Hot Chili Peppers tribute band are ready to rock Bogans

Things are set to get funky in Omagh next week, as the explosive ‘Taste the Pain’ take to the stage in Bogans Bar to pay tribute to the legendary California group, Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Formed in 2014 by a collective of session musicians with a love for the iconic Californian foursome, the Cork-based tribute act have made quite the name for themselves, delivering a live set that features some of the ‘Chili Peppers’ biggest hits, alongside of a healthy serving of b-sides and deep cuts celebrating all 13 studio albums across the bands impressive forty year career.

While initially just a fun side project, Taste The Pain has become a successful nationwide touring tribute act.

Speaking with the Tyrone Herald this week, lead singer Mick Cuddihy said that he is looking forward to rocking the crowds at Bogans.

“We have crafted our set with attention to detail, and try to play with the same passion and conviction as the real Chilies,” he said.

“All the big hits are included, ‘Under The Bridge’, ‘By The Way’, ‘Californication’ ‘Can’t Stop’, plus much more.

“And we have a rotating selection of alternative hits and deep cuts, spanning the earlier ‘80s material, right up to last year’s two acclaimed releases ‘Unlimited Love’ and ‘Return of the Dream Canteen’.

“This will be our first time playing in Omagh, with many thanks to Ciaran at SD Entertainment for his hard work and help arranging this show.

“We are beyond excited, and couldn’t be happier that it’s Bogan’s venue we get to play!” he added. “We will give it everything we’ve got on the night, as we always do, so whether you’re a lifelong fan, or casual listener to the Chilies, it will be an amazing, memorable night!”
