WALKERS will welcome the news that a bridge at Lough Fea near Cookstown is now open once again.
The footbridge, which links pathways around the lough and allows people to complete a full circuit of the waterway, was closed recently for maintenance work.
Lough Fea is a popular destination for walkers and Mid Ulster District Council said the bridge has now reopened after the work.
“The opening means the circular route around the lough is possible once again,” said a council spokesperson.
“We would like to thank everyone, and especially regular users of the Lough walks, for their patience while the bridge was made safe and secure for many years to come.”
