THE Omagh Carers Walking Group enjoyed a picnic in the sun after their morning walk last week.
On Tuesday morning, members of the Omagh Carers Walking Group took a stroll to the Riverside Walk at Lovers Retreat as part of Walking for Health Month.
The Carers Walking Groups are supported by Geraldine McLaughlin and Gabrielle McAloon from the Western Trust’s Carers Support Team.
Carers meet up each week for a chat and walk and finish off with a cuppa in the local coffee shop.
A spokesperson for the Western Health and social care trust (WHSCT) said they are keen for more members to join the club.
“It was wonderful to see new faces joining our walking group today and we welcome new members to come and join us over the summer months.
“The Omagh walking group meet every Tuesday morning at 10.15am and are keen to have new members join us for our walks,” she added.
