4. Cape Town, South Africa
If it’s variety you seek, the Cape Town has the solution.  Their wonderful beaches, bustling city life, gorgeous landscapes, proximity to wine country and unbeatable safaris provide plenty of choice for an adventure.  
You can truly go to the ends of the earth with a drive to the Cape of Good Hope or Cape Agulhas on the southernmost borders.  On the way back home, stop off at Boulders Beach to see the warm-weather penguins.
