Arrest over stabbing in Dungannon town centre

A MAN was arrested in connection with a stabbing in the Market Square area of Dungannon on Saturday evening.

Police say they received a report at around 8:40pm that man had been stabbed. He was treated for his injuries which are not life threatening.

“A 27 year old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and released on bail pending further enquiries,” said a PSNI spokesperson.

 “Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything in the Market Square area at around 8:30 pm on Saturday or who has information that could assist police to call on 101, quoting reference number 1920 of 26/09/20.

 “You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
