Charity walk to keep wonderful spirit of Kathleen alive

AN uplifting dander amidst the scenic landscapes of An Creagan for a trio of charities will help keep the wonderful, thoughtful spirit of Kathleen Haughey  alive.

Titled ‘Kathleen’s Causes’, the 5k walk/run will take place this Saturday (September 5) in aid of Termonmaguirc Cancer Patients’ Comfort Fund, North West Oxygen Centre and Marie Curie Cancer Centre.

Kathleen, who was from Carrickmore, sadly passed away on December 18, 2019, after battling cancer. A spokesperson from the event hopes that the event will give much-needed funds back to the charities who provide endless support and vital help to those in need.

“Come and walk or run at your leisure between 10am and 1pm,” they said. “But if September 5 doesn’t suit, there is also an option to walk or run virtually and post your photos to the

‘Kathleen’s Causes Charity Fundraiser’ Facebook page. Thank you in advance for your support,” they added. ‘Kathleen’s Causes’ 5k walk/run will take place on Saturday, September 5 at An Creagan, between 10am and 1pm (social distancing required).
