A FORMER SDLP councillor in Coalisland described by many as a ‘true gentleman’ has passed away.
Patrick McGlinchey was one of the town’s best known characters, not only as an elected representative, but as a shop-keeper and through his involvement with the local GAA club and community groups.
He died at Craigavon hospital on Friday.
Current SDLP councillor for the area Malachy Quinn said local people had “many fond memories of Patrick”.
