Dungannon trouble linked to racist attacks on house

Poilce have said public disorder which erupted in an area of Dungannon close to the Ballygawley Road on Saturday night, was triggered after officers responded to racist attacks on a house.

Missiles were thrown, vehicles were damaged and several fires started in the Woodburn Crescent area during the trouble which is understood to have lasted for several hours.

The police helicopter and fire fighters were tasked to the scene.

On Sunday, the PSNI said they had been investigating two separate attacks on a house, which happened just before and after midnight.
They said a 17-year-old had been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
