Yellow weather warning in place for Thursday with expected snow

The Met Office has issued a 24 hour yellow weather warning for a period of expected snowfall from 6am on Thursday, February 8 until 6am on Friday, February 9 throughout the North.

With a small chance that power cuts will occur, as well as other services, such as mobile phone coverage, there is also a slight chance that some rural communities could become cut off amidst the anticipated weather conditions.

The Met Office have also stated that there is a small chance of travel delays on the roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel.
