THE lowest rate of positive coronavirus cases across the north during the past 24 hours has been reflected in the three Tyrone Council areas where the total is just 79 for the period up until midnight on November 24.
Figures released from the Department of Health show that there were only five cases in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council area, eight in Derry City and Strabane and 10 in Mid-Ulster.
It’s the lowest rate of infection across the north for 54 days.
The statistics also show that the past week the largest numbers of those who have tested positive are in the 20-39 age category. They included 40 positive cases in this agegroup in Fermanagh and Omagh, 83 in Mid-Ulster and 76 in Derry City and Strabane.
Overall, the number of positive cases in the three council areas since the pandemic began is 2033 in Fermanagh and Omagh, 4641 in Mid-Ulster and 6623 in Derry City and Strabane. This is out of totals tested of 28,644, 36,909 and 46, 415 respectively.
