COVID continues to have a tight grip on Strabane with over 1,000 cases now being confirmed across the council district.
In the past seven days, 487 confirmed cases of the coronavirus have been identified in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area – bringing the total number of case to 1,030.
The rate of positives cases in the council area is 323.2 per 100,000 people – more than double the rate in any of the other ten council areas in the North.
The increased number of cases continues to be mainly prominent in younger people with 78 positive tests identified among people aged 19 or younger.
The 20 to 39-year-old category seen the highest number of cases confirmed with 243 cases, while the 126 people aged between 40 and 59 tested positive.
