Over 1,300 customers left without power in Tyrone

DRUMQUIN was left without power power three times over the last week once due to a fault with an an underground cable and twice due to equipment failure. 

Castlederg was also left without power today and parts of last night.

A spokesperson for Northern Ireland Electricity said,“We received reports of a power cut in the Castelderg and Drumquin areas around 10.50pm on Thursday 25, November. Approximately 1,138 customers experienced a loss of supply due to equipment failure with all customers restored at 11.30PM On Friday 26, November, further repair work was carried out resulting in a loss of supply to 254 customers from around 1.00pm with supply fully restored at 2.47pm.
