A PENSIONER has been taken to hospital for treatment after being struck by a car in Cookstown yesterday (Friday) morning.
Police and the ambulance service attended the scene, which occurred in the William Street area of Cookstown, shortly after 11.15am.
At this time, it is believed the injuries to the woman, who is aged in her eighties, are not life-threatening.
A spokesperson from the PSNI said, “Police received a report of a one vehicle road traffic collision in the William Street area of Cookstown shortly after 11.15am on Friday, January 14.
“Officers attended, along with the colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, and one woman, aged in her eighties, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening at this stage.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on ‘101’, quoting reference ‘579 of 14/01/22’.”
