TRIBUTES have been paid on the passing of a Donaghmore man who was well-known for his performances on stage.
Brian Faloon who died at the weekend was synonymous with the Bardic Theatre, where he played a range of characters down the years.
In a social media post, a spokesperson for the theatre said he played leading roles right up until March last year, when he took on the role of Mick Flanagan in ‘The Field’.
They added, “Brian will no doubt be remembered fondly for these and many other parts of which there are too many to name and his contribution to the development and growth of The Bardic Theatre extends far beyond its stage. He was the force that bound many productions together, the heart and soul of many casts and a shining light to an entire community.
“We send our deepest condolences to his daughters Siobhan, Olivia, Louise, Janet and Emma, son John, brothers Sean, Pat and Dermot and the wider Faloon family.” Mr Faloon will be laid to rest tomorrow (Tuesday) after the funeral service in St Patrick’s, Donaghmore.
