TRIBUTES have been paid to a Strabane couple who passed away within hours of each other at Altnagelvin Hospital.
Bredge Ward and her husband Owen will be buried tomorrow (Wednesday) at 1pm at St Mary’s Church Melmount.
Expressing his sympathy to the family Daniel McCrossan, MLA, said, “My God, how heartbreaking for the Ward family. There are no words for such a terrible loss. To lose a mother and a father just hours apart is truly unimaginable.
“I’m thinking and praying for their sons and daughters Martin, Ciaran, Bronagh, Marie, Tracey, Fiona and their grandchildren.”
Damien McHugh added, “So sad. I knew Owen from our hurling days with Shamrocks. Lovely man. Condolences to the Ward family. You must be devastated but the good times will come again.”
