A POLICE pursuit ended when a van was abandoned in a Tyrone village yesterday.
The Silver Peugeot van was driving along the Victoria Road in Derry at 3.40pm yesterday when police officers signalled for the vehicle to stop.
However, the van driver failed to stop and officers chased the vehicle through Newbuildings towards Dunamanagh.
Officers eventually found the van abandoned in the Castlewarren Road area of the village.
“The vehicle has been recovered and enquiries are ongoing,” said a PSNI spokesperson.
“If you witnessed this you can contact police on 101 quoting reference 1188 of the 6th of May 2025.”
