A DUNGANNON man was scammed out of £600 during the sale of his mobile phone.
The PSNI revealed details of the brazen con which happened at the victim’s own home.
In the social media post the police also urged other people to be wary of making transactions with strangers.
“In this case, a man lost over £600 selling an iPhone 11 Pro.
“The victim met a buyer in his home yesterday after agreeing a price on social media. The buyer then showed the victim the screenshot of a fake or cancelled bank transfer with the funds.
“The buyer then left with the goods and the victim never received the money.”

“If you have any concerns about unsolicited calls, emails or letters then please report it to Action Fraud via their website www.actionfraud.police.uk or by phoning 0300 123 2040. You can also call police on the non-emergency number 101.”
