Bradley is keen to get started

Fingers crossed the new Inter County season will begin at the end of next month and Tyrone star Mark Bradley for one can’t wait to get started under the new management team of Feargal Logan and Brian Dooher.

The duo have taken over from Mickey Harte and it’s something that the Killyclogher sharpshooter is eagerly looking forward to having worked under them back in 2015 when they won the All-Ireland U21 title.

“Anyone that I have been talking to within the squad is just extremely excited to get a chance to be working under Feargal and Brian,” said Mark.

“Quite a few of the squad have worked under them before with the U21s so we know what they are about.  They are extremely professional, very well organised and they don’t take any crap either which is always good.

“You always see it when a new management team come in, it’s a clean slate for all the players. It’s not just the two men, they have assembled a great backroom team as well with a lot of experience and knowledge about the game.”

With no McKenna Cup this year the National League will take on even greater significance and Mark is well aware that the Red Hands will have to start on the front foot in the new look regionalised competition.

“It’s going to be crucial that we hit the ground running as we won’t have the three or four games in the McKenna Cup that we normally get,” he admits.

“In the current climate you can’t play friendlies, there is no McKenna Cup so there is no place to showcase your talent and trying to make a mark. That will put even more emphasis on training and going your hardest and show what you can do.”
