TYRONE Under-16 ladies manager, Martin Conway has been left
disappointed by the LGFA’s decision to effectively end his team’s
season.
Ladies football remains on hold at present and the LGFA has confirmed the end of the road for several under age competitions, including the under-16 series.
Conway, like so many coaches, has been left devastated by the move: “When our county under-16s opened their Ulster Championship campaign with a convincing win over Derry on March 7th little did they think then that they wouldn’t be back together as a squad again after that,” he said.
“Shortly after that impressive performance all further training and
games were halted due to the Covid-19 situation.”
Tyrone were well placed in the under-16 competition but with the
season now on hold, Conway and his backroom team opted to do something special for the players by arranging a different
kind of team photo.
