‘Great foundations’ already in place says Tyrone boss

New Tyrone Ladies Senior manager Kevin McCrystal feels that there are ‘great foundations’ already in place to build a successful future.

The Carrickmore native was confirmed as the Red Hand boss last week on a three year deal.
County board officials made the appointment on Thursday night past and McCrystal, who formerly steered the fortunes of the Ladies under-14s, can’t wait to get started.

“ I am delighted to be appointed. There are great foundations there already. I just want to take Tyrone to the next level and I would hope to talk to the girls as soon as possible with plans in place to get started as soon as we are given the green light,” This will be McCrystal’s second spell in charge of Tyrone having been manager in the early noughties although he is the first to admit that Ladies football has changed dramatically in those twenty years.

“It certainly is different now with all the strength and conditioning work, the pace of the game and the profile of it. Having been Development Officer for a couple of years I have watched it change. We want to carry on the work done to the next level,” he confirmed.
