TYRONE’S new ladies manager Kevin McCrystal and officials from the county remain in the dark over the start of the season for their senior and minor inter county squads.
A ladies management meeting prior to Christmas confirmed a reduced league programme, with a January 15th start, however the counties remain in the dark.
It had been hoped the LGFA would have issued guidance over the festive period following on from the GAA’s published guidelines however nothing has been forthcoming leaving all counties like Tyrone somewhat perplexed.
The effect on counties, who by now would be in pre-season mode, could be serious with new Red Hand boss Kevin McCrystal facing an even bigger struggle as he attempts to put his own stamp on the squad.
McCrystal and his new backroom team, which includes fitness guru Matthew Brady, had planned to hit the ground running but those plans have hit the buffers.
“We had a plan in place to get things going within the LGFA guidelines but once the lockdown was announced we have opted to give every player a personal programme and monitor how they get out.”
